How are subject tests scored?

SAT Subject Scoring

SAT subject tests, like their more popular counterpart the SAT, are scaled out of 800 so the raw score that is derived by adding one point for every correct answer and subtracting one-fourth of a point for every wrong answer is matched to the grading scale that is developed for that specific administration of the test to give you a score ranging from 200 to 800. This is done by the college board to ensure that variations in difficulty does not affect the test takers score.
