Many law schools require that the LSAT be taken by December for admission the following fall. However, taking the test earlier—in June or September/October—is often advised.
If you want to ensure you have an opportunity to repeat the test, register for either the June or September/October administration. This way, if you are unsatisfied with your initial score, the best time to take the LSAT test is in December, before law school application deadlines.
